IN THIS VIDEO YOU WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT WHAT IS PRESERVATION?

WHAT IS PRESERVATION?

PRESERVATION IS THE PROCESS OF STORING FOOD FOR FUTURE USE. PRESERVATION CAN BE FOLLOWED BY THE PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. IF WE COOK THE FOOD MORE THAN ENOUGH, THEN THAT REMAINS AND GETS SPOIL SOON. SOT WE HAVE TO STORE IT IN SAFE PLACE LIKE REFRIGERATOR. THE FARMERS GROW FOOD GRAINS IN LARGE QUANTITIES AND STORE IN BIG GODOWNS. 

SOME FOOD LIKE RICE AND CURRY GET SPOIL SOON ON VERY NEXT DAY. BUT SOME PICKLES WILL NOT GET SPOIL. THIS DEPENDS UPON THE PROCESS AND THE INGREDIENTS USED TO PREPARE THE FOOD.

WHAT ARE PRESERVATIVES?

PRESERVATIVES ARE THE INGREDIENTS USED TO PRESERVE OR STORE THE FOOD FOR FUTURE USE ARE CALLED PRESERVATIVES

EXAMPLE OF INGREDIENTS FOR PRESEVATION: OIL, SALT , TURMERIC, CHILLI POWDER, SUGAR SYRUP, HONEY...ETC.
EXAMPLE OF METHODS FOR PRESERVATION: DRYING, SMOKING, FRYING...ECT.
